Mind Missions - Karankawa Catch

Scholars did a fantastic job collaborating to complete their Social Studies Mind Mission!

Mission: 
Catching fish and shellfish was critical to the survival of the Karankawa Indians. Using the Engineering Design Process, design a device to catch dinner.

Materials:
2 coffee filters, 8 craft sticks, 4 paper clips, 1 cup, 8 rubber bands, 8 straws, and 12 in. of tape

Scoring:
-Up to 20 points if device could effectively catch a fish (washer).
-Up to 20 points if device could effectively catch a crab (cork).
-Up to 20 points if the device is durable (can be used over and over).
-Up to 20 points for presentation and explanation.
-Up to 20 points for positive teamwork.
