On Friday, November 9th, grades 3 and 4 will be creating percussion instruments from discarded objects in music class!
These instruments will be played by shaking, scraping, or striking. Some instruments will be attached to a rack in the engineering and design lab. Other instruments may be used in the music room.
Things We Need:
Constructions materials, like tape, wire, string, fishing line, zip ties, etc.
Containers for small, shakable items
Small items to put inside of something else, like rice, seeds, beans, BB’s, etc.
Items that you can attach other things to for shaking or hanging
Items that sound cool when you strike, shake, or scrape them with something
Items that you can strike or scrape things with
Items with holes or tools to make holes, like keys, jugs, old pots, etc
Anything else you think we might use
Please bring any supplies and drop them off in the music room!
